Re-jigging my Prototype
After receiving feedback on week 6, I decided to take on some of the advice that was given to me by both Kyle and my peers.
Hal suggested that I add a navigation bar to the final website, and I think this is something I really might consider doing as the story within the website is rather long, and it could be useful to be able to go back a page if you need to. I think I am going to conduct a user test on my prototype next week and see what else I could add to make it more user friendly.
Changing Text on Landing Page
One of the first things Kyle mentioned was to maybe change the typeface or weight of the text below the title on the landing page. One of my peers suggested this also, so I thought it’d be best to do this.

I actually much prefer how this looks. The typeface “Square One” works well for my headings, but isn’t as readable in larger blocks of text such as this.
Changing the Colour of a Heading
Another thing that was suggested to me was to change the white heading over the moon for my “Touchdown” title screen – to black. I actually really liked this idea because I wasn’t too sure how to fix the contrast and readability of this heading without losing consistency. However, changing a colour of a heading doesn’t make it inconsistent as it is still the same typeface and size as the rest of them.

Again, I am really glad that I got this feedback as it has helped the heading stand out so much more!
Anything Else?
Someone had mentioned maybe adding a continue button to the landing screen so that you’d know to click through, and I had already made a few versions of this. I did that with a clickthrough website in mind. However, after making the prototype be a clickthrough, I think my actual website will be more of a scroll through. This would include continue buttons showing on every new page in order to move to the next. If I were to keep this as a click through, though, I would definitely take this advice on and probably add it to every page!
