Final 2 Days of Creative Practices – Creating a Final Piece from My Inspiration and Skills the I acquired From Each Workshop

For the final two days of 2D Creative Practices I took the inspiration from Andy Warhol’s collage painting. I started my final piece by creating an A3 collaged background by ripping random assortments of magazine images, text and assorted coloured papers. I took the word transform as age, so I wanted to print myself on acetate, at the age of 3 and now at the age of 18 to show a transformation from young to older and then overlaying it on top of my collage to replicate an art piece similar to Andy Warhol’s piece. To complete my final piece, I added a white mount made out of A2 card to create a frame. Overall, I really enjoyed ripping up bits of magazine and coloured paper and creating a colourful and interesting collage to make the image of myself at the age of 3 and 18 stand out.
