During Week 3 of our Animated Narratives module, we had continued on work to develop our character designs for our 3D animated shorts. Over time, my group had been steadily working on our characters with 4 people modelling Dust Bunnies and one modelling a vacuum. This week, I wanted to lock in the design conventions used for each dust bunny to ensure that they all resemble each other enough to fit in with the world and not look too out of place.
Below are the initial small sketches I had created, with the sections of character designs being what we decided on as the conventions for our Dust Bunnies.
Below is the character turn around I had created for my particular dust bunny, which is based on Lionhead rabbits, this it has large cheek fluff and has been given a large poofy pompadour to connote them having a prideful and smug character.
And lastly, below is the 3D blocking I have done so far using the Turn Around above, both with flat shading and with smoothing. Whether this model will need to be sculpted or can be animated like this will be determined later on.
