Pentagram Design Studio (Giorgia Lupi)


Giorgia Lupi is an Italian information designer and a partner at Pentagram based in New York. She has a master’s degree in Architecture and PhD in Design. She co-founded Accurat and is a co-author of Dear Data and Observe, Collect, Draw – A Visual Journal. She is also a public speaker. She has been awarded with numerous awards for her work. Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Mordern Art.






IDEO is a global design company known for its human-centered interdisciplinary approach. IDEO stands for Innovation Design Engineering Organization. They were founded in 1991. They practice creating a positive impact through design by applying creative mindsets and skills, and by teaching others to do the same. IDEO had explained their definition of design thinking:

“Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from the designer’s toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success.” — Tim Brown, chair of IDEO




UsTwo was founded by two best friends (hence the company name), “Mills” and “Sinx” in London in 2004. UsTwo designs and builds digital products, services and immersive experiences. They also helps to boost client’s own digital culture and capabilities.

UsTwo is a mobile games studio that makes interactive entertainment which challenges the medium, with a strong focus on user experience and elegance in presentation. One of their best selling games is the popular mobile gaming app, Monument Valley. They then released Monument Valley Two.

UsTwo Adventure exists to support early-stage companies that have values and creativity at their core. One of the apps they helped which I recognised was Marvel. Marvel is used to create apps and sites from wireframing to prototyping to code generation.
