Today we covered a brief overall of the module which is called “Narrative and Storytelling”. A narrative is a way of presented connected events in order to tell a good story. A good example is a children books. Which has a clear beginning, middle and end. Basically we will have to create an interactive design which tells a story and follow a specific narrative,
We looked at the deliverables and expectations we expect in the coming weeks.
For this module we will be completing to projects which are based around the one specific topic. The first project we will be creating a prototype which is interactive this will follow a specific narrative and structure. Then we will either create a website or eBook. The topic for the project is to do with “space and Apollo program”. We were shown some example projects from previous years. He then went on to explain a list of things we need to do in order to achieve this module such as sketching, researching, coding, etc.
At the end of the project, we will pitch our prototype and website., showing the process, etc.
The brief/topic
Apollo – was a mission which happened in 1960’s that allowed 12 men to successfully land on the moon.
The prototype and narrative website will be a digital project. We went in detail of what we could expect for each project. We’ll be using content and visually display the information appropriately.
We were shown examples of work which may help us when approaching this project.
Reflection
This was very interesting and insightful; it gives me a rough idea of what I can expect to work on each work in order to be successful in this unit.
For this week we have been tasked to create a Moodboards around the Apollo program, as well as reflecting on a talk by Cindy Chastain. I will start research the topic and find inspiration from multiple resources. I will also take into consideration colour, typography, layout, imagery, icons and content.
