Week 8 again saw the afternoon set aside for groupwork, with us asked to update the others on our progress, and to continue the conversation around our storyline, to allow the storyboarding for our full group animation to be completed.

While most happily showed their progress, and received encouragement and positive feedback from the team, again not everyone chose to share their work, which given we’re another week closer to the submission date, did prove quite unsettling. Ideas too around how to transition from one segment to the next in the final animation, such as us all using a certain element or character were discussed, but no concrete decision was made, and I was surprised when the style of the bar, which I though had been agreed weeks ago, was raised yet again.

The afternoon then ended with discussions around the final storyboard, including the sequence of events, and how the group animation would end. However, as most felt responsible for their own segment (and thus their own storyboard), this was something the group didn’t want to decide collectively, and again when asked, told our tutor that everyone knew what they’re doing. By this stage I was worried that without communication, and some definitive decisions being quickly made, there would be no way for us to make a cohesive final animation.
