For week 7, we learned the 12 principles of animation like squash and stretch, staging, arcs and appeal. We also learned the importance of space and timing which means the number of frames per second and where the drawing is within the frame.
For homework, we were tasked with doing three things. Firstly, we have to animating three balls of different weights.
I found this exercise to be really fun as I got to practise squash and stretch. I think that all three ball animations turned out good but I probably should have tried to do something more creative with the animation.
Secondly, we had to read ‘Chapter 4 ‘Advancing backwards to 1940‘ from Richard Williams Animator’s Survival Guide.
Thirdly, we have to hold a meeting with our groups to discuss the order of our chain animation.
