Morning Class:
For this morning’s class Sorcha had a lecture on After Effects.She covered what typeface and typography are, how they are different and how each design choice can tell a story. We also covered what kinetic typography is, the difference between art and design and what a display font is. Next we covered how fonts have their own ‘language’, less is more and some tips for design like, opposites attract, short with tall and decorative with simple. After we covered what kerning, leading, tracking and hierarchy are and some examples of good and bad graphic design.

Afterwards we were given the task of picking and creating a kinetic typography in After Effects of a chosen word or phrase.

For this afternoon we all meet up with our game dev groups and set up the game for a round of play testing.
