In class we discussed what will be taught during this semester. We also learned about the Hero’s Journey and the difference between the plot of a movie and the armature of a movie.
After this the class were split into groups of four, I ended up with Danya, Daniel and Jennifer, we were tasked with create a short story using a random story dice generator, the story had to follow the Hero’s Journey.
For homework I had to work with my group to analyse a short stop motion, called ‘Negative Space’.
To get started I asked my group how we were going to divide the work, we agreed to split it by technique, I chose to look at the mise-en-scène of the stop motion.
