In week 3 we had to make a small presentation where we would show how was going the ideas of our animation, our group presented our ideas and was praised the part of the storyboard and the character designers but in the story we would have to make some changes to make clearer some points of the story mainly with one of the character Rolling in the scenes.

After receiving some feedbacks from our group tutors we talked and tried to agree on changing a little bit the story and the role of rolling, chatting later in discord we talked about some amazing ideas of how the story would look like.

 

 

Communication:

After we had sent some of our ideas to the group (Joyce) I decided to have a small meeting with you so that we could talk to find out what to do with the Rolling Roll character. we had to talk about the time of the meeting.

 

 

Also before our meeting we were talking about the scenes, all the ideas that came into our heads we are writing down in the group to have enough ideas of the scenes, I confess that I found it very difficult to have some ideas but with my group and the help of the girls I managed to have more ease of communication.

 

 

Character :

With the process of my Character I had 3 different colour palette ideas to make my character, in the colour palette I used neutral tones for the cupcake and lighter pink colours.

After I made my character’s colour ideas I sent it to the girls at discord to get their opinion about the colours because I confess that about colour palettes I’m not very good at combining shades. And I got a lot of help on shades and colours for my character and colour changes.

 

Environment Designs:

In class our group was already doing some sketches of the layout, where each girl did a 2D sketch and 3D a simple ideas, I did a simple 3D idea of how the bakery would look from the outside.

 

 

For the idea of how it would be inside the bakery I researched some ideas of inspirations that I found on Pinterest, I wanted to use a more modern style and at the same time cute that matched with the style that we were making the characters so our group talked and shared some ideas of the layout group.

 

Layout Ideas:

In the process of the layout our group with Joyce did a small meeting where we talked and had some ideas of the process of the place (Bakery). We each had a job to do a 3D or 2D layout idea Joyce, Zoe, Eve did some sketches and Jessica and I did some modelling in Blender.

 

 

In this process we had many ideas of how it would look inside the bakery with different styles. Our intention was to send you all the ideas and then we would make a small vc to decide which one we would choose for the layout.

 

My idea:

As idea I used some inspirations on Pinterest that I thought would match more with the animation, I researched and made a simple draft of the iPad to not forget the layout idea, I’m starting to learn more how to work with the layout subject because I didn’t have much knowledge of space and designer  being a little complicated in this topic but with the help of my group I’m getting to work together and have great ideas.

 

 

Finalised Storyboard:

A few minutes after we had vc our group talking we made a new storyboard with a new context in the animation. In the script Zoe did the more detailed explanation of how the story would be and Joyce did the scenes of the storyboard for having more skill in this part and also Zoe and Jessica started to notice our next steps in the animation process as we organised our tasks.

After we made our vc the girls decided to schedule another meeting to organize things in the process of the layout already choosing the style we were going to do.

 

 Character Design:

After I talked to my group about the style of my character I ended up choosing a character with more neutral tones and pink colours. I made a cuter designer inspired by lighter shades so I did the other steps of making the different positions of my character.
