Reflection of Semester One

I can not believe that we have gotten to this stage of the year already. It has been a crazy first semester, one where I struggled to adjust to online learning, however now with all of my work refined, I can now look back with pride and give myself a pat on the back. I am proud to say that I have came on so well with the use of computers and the new softwares which have been introduced to us. Although, at times, GitHub and Adobe XD can be quite tricky to get used to, I feel that with more time and practice, I will be able to master the skills required.

This semester has helped me learn a lot about being a student and next semester, I feel I will be more prepared and motivated to commit to all of the challenges proposed to us. This semester, I kept a diary, which I found very useful, especially when it came to writing up my blog posts. I definitely want to keep this up next semester. I also intend to post more of my work on my instagram and twitter as I go along, as not only do I feel it could inspire ideas for projects, but also is a good profile to have, especially for potential companies to look at, as I really hope to take a year out for placement.

This semester, I did sometimes feel myself getting frustrated with the online, remote learning situation. This semester I am going to try and keep a good routine and try to speak out more during classes. I am overall feeling very happy in the course and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
