Travel App – “Backpack Buddy”

This week, we did a group critique and showed everyone the progress we have made on our three first travel app screens. Since I haven’t yet decided on a colour scheme for mine, I posted my grescale digital wireframes.

The main criticism I got from my peers was about the sizing of the icons on the navigation bar. Many people (including Paul), suggested that I reduce the size, so this is something I will definitely be doing when going back to refine my screens and add colour. A few people suggested that I should make it really colourful to follow the same level of personality and playfulness that the main app icon brings.

Pauls main criticisms/ideas included:

• Make icons smaller
• Play around with all different colours and see what works
• Try to carry across the personality
• Experiment with new community icon designs
• Smaller titles
• Use real airline brands for the plane tickets

I will be sure to take all of these things into consideration when revisiting these three screens in the coming weeks.
