Rough Animation
This week I started to draw out my rough animation in Procreate. I quickly did messy key frames and filled them in using the animation feature and put it at 12 frames per second. When I was happy enough with the results I started to clean up the line work.
Background
For the animation I had to create the door for the casino. This would be the background for my animation. This takes place at night so I wanted to make the colours resemble the night time atmosphere. I used inspiration from when I was in group 9 studying colour theory. I took a dark blue colour and contrasted it with a bright goldy colour to show the light coming out of the door.
Cleaning up
For the clean up I used a Studio Pen in Procreate which had a thick line work. I made sure to take my time with this process to make sure it was tidy as possible. I also put the background in to see what it would look like with the characters and to see if the composition looked right.
I looked at a music video for inspiration for the bouncers. I looked at some other real life examples of bouncers but most of them were very violent. The band “Studio Killers” has a music video for their song “Ode to the Bouncer” features a fun animation style for the bouncer at the door.
