My planning page. Here I noted details about Orlaith that I could use as elements of my digital work. I also made some quick sketches to plan the elements I wanted to centre my work around.Digital Piece 1. Based on Orlaith’s favourite aspect of art – painting. The lemon is representative of the most recent painting that she showed to me. I also used colour to represent her. Yellow being her favourite colour, pink being the colour of her hair and glasses, and the neutrals were used to represent her clothing colour pallet.For this piece, I wanted to base it on a completely different element. I decided on a yellow background for her favourite colour and her favourite drink – Pepsi. I also added her purple, amethyst crystal bracelet to make it feel more personal to her.For my final piece, I wanted to base it on her character design in her favourite game – Roblox. In the game, the characters are known for their boxy, angular, and inaccurate proportions. I wanted to carry over that charm into my work. I also added a black and yellow background that is a nod to her black boots with yellow laces she wears almost every day.
