These are just a few experimental embroidery pieces which I’ve incorporated ideas from my mood board. I’ve included a variety of stitches creating different patterns and textures.
These are a series of timed sketches based on a mannequin that involves different types of materials. I’ve also looked at creating drawings based on the fabric itself, where I’ve roughly sketched the outline and created my own pattern/design.
So for my final outcome I intended on using an initial idea from the designs I was making. I had decided to create three similar pieces and attach them together, which gives a nice spiral effect.   Â
This is a quick experimental piece using a variety of coloured fabrics based on the theme of my mood board to create this weave.
These are a few paper models ideas that I’m trying to turn into abstract shapes. I think creating a series of designs will help me reach to my final idea.
Here I was using a technique called sand casting to create this abstract piece. I’ve pressed multiple objects onto the sand to create an imprint, then pour hot metal into the mould.
