Before Class

I got a message at the start of the week reminding me of the presentation in class from Chloe, which is good because I had forgotten.   I exported the current version of my animation into a video format and sent it over to Chloe who was putting the project together along with the document.   I quickly wrote up for the presentation  as the information is still good.  I also had to record some audio for the presentation as well, but it was quite rough as I had to use the in-built recorder and I did not write myself a script.   Once that was done I continued to animate my animation.  I started work on the robotic arms which is a mixture of both my usage of puppet animation and redrawing the frames.  I also fixed my filters so the black filter would be visible when the night vision is turned off blocking out most of the back ground.  The black filter is a bit faded so you can see some movement in the dark.  I also copied and pasted the keyframes to continue the animation of the background asset.

Here is a link to what I wrote for the presentation:

During Class

Today is the day (10/12/2020) of the presentation.  Chloe did a great job putting the slideshow and audio together however my writing had to be cut down.  For personal reasons, Tim could not get his work completed but I fully realise he could not help this and it not his fault.

We sat down and watch all the class’s presentations.  Everyone had produced a great job.  Our presentation was well received but I did relate to the tutor and class, that I had a more updated version of my animation at home.  After that, we spent the rest of the day in our groups communicating on both Discord and Blackboard.  It was only Chloe and me participating and we only gave a status update on the work so far.

After Class

After the class, I uploaded the more up-to-date to Discord for the rest of the class to see. The rest of the week was used to created and animate the rest of the robotic arms. They are not all done but they will be finish quickly at the start of next week.

This is the up to date version at the time (posted at the end of the class)

Next Week

Before the end of the Week I will have the whole of my animation complete. This includes both the base animations (the robotic arms, cape, blood spatters, etc.) and the VFX added in Adobe Premiere Pro (the Night Vision, TV snow, Camera static, etc.). I will then send my copy of the animation to Chole so she can assemble the project together. I will also be remaining myself to have a physical calendar next year to help me keep track of all my projects.
