Class:

At the start of class we previewed some of the showreels we found last week and were given some feedback  that we could apply to our own when we make them.

– It’s good to have a title card with your email on it at the start and end of the showreel.

– A looping animation on the tile card is a good way to grab attention and quickly show a sample of your animation style.

– Don’t show too long of one animation at once.

– It’s good to sometimes show the stages of the animation.

After that we watched a few videos about editing in Premiere and then were tasked with creating a showreel from pre-provided videos.

—Exercise —

Edit a 30 second showreel made from Alec’s old work and some provided audio.

*All clips belong to Alec*

Afterwards, we reviewed some of the showreels everyone made before leaving for the day.
