After the one-to-one feedback session with Mike, he suggested: 

  • Test how the 2D cake and characters will interact with the 3D table, consider making the table 2D in that scene if it looks weird or wrong. 
  • Create a full pipeline test animation using one scene from our animatic, choose a scene that showcases everything. Complete this scene fully; rough animation, line art, colour, shadows, lighting and backgrounds. 
  • Look into post processing nodes and lighting in Blender so the scene looks less washed out.

This week I textured a corkboard, plate, cup and party hat for the background.

I also started a full pipeline test; I animated a rough walk cycle for the arcade owner pushing Lollipop as well as blocked out Gumballs movements. This clip is still in very early production however I believe it captures the bounce energy we want in the final animation. The timing still needs some work, and the owner stops in place, I need to fix these issues before moving forward in the pipeline.

Nicole textured the table, chair and completed all three variants of the arcade machine.
