I’ve been put into group F and my animation team are Joyce Guo and Victoria Howells. The game team has Logan Mawhinney, Cliodhna Bryson, Cathal Meehan and Jack Wilson. We had to come up with a game idea. The theme had to be unstable. Me and Joyce are both doing the characters while Victoria is doing the environment.

We split ourselves into groups of 2 where we came up with 10 ideas each.

My ideas were:

-Unstable economy, where it’s a farming simulator but people try to break in and steal your crops to which you have to set up traps and weapons

-unstable mindset, where your a drunk dude trying to get home and the controls would be trippy

-unstable relationship, where it would be like street fighter, but you play as a husband and a wife

-Unstable building, where you would have to try to escape a building before it collapses

-unstable aeroplane, where you have to escape from an aeroplane by finding the parachute and fighting off people

We then voted for which idea we liked the most from each group which was

-escaping the aeroplane

-fighting a dragon

-trying to escape from a robot by collecting batteries

The lecturers didn’t like any of our ideas which resulted in us having to come up with an idea individually and then present it to our group.

My idea was: unstable life after death system boss rush.

-Corrupt people within hell and heaven who have messed up moral compasses believe doing a small bad thing once makes you a bad person.

-Unstable setting, as the system is so messed up that simply killing enough demons can allow a person to escape from hell.

We then showed each other our ideas and then we voted for which ones we liked the most.

When we pitched the whale and castle idea, the lecturers found the whale one the most interesting.

The game idea is that the whale is unstable because there’s something going on inside of it so the main character has to go inside of it and clean it’s insides. The reason the whale’s insides are so dirty is because there’s a fish society living within it.
