The Idea

Creating the Game Idea

Below shows the number of ideas that the team came up with for this project. My Idea is the big red one at the bottom.

My Idea – Red Riding Hood: Between Two Worlds

The theme of my idea is revenge and morality, having the player go through different revenge stories then having to decided if the revenge is right or wrong.

Obviously the team does not have the time or reasources to develop a full game, however I just got excited about this idea that I just went with it as much as possible.

References for my idea:

References I mainly took notice of are games such as ‘Medium’, ‘Deadly Premonition’, and ‘Othercide’. These games have the supernatural and creepy aspects that I had in mind for the game.

Idea Notes

These are all the notes I made trying to figure out the story of the idea and some mechanics.

This idea was the idea that was picked. Unfortunately. I am glad that the rest of the team liked this idea, however I didn’t vote for it as I knew what would happen to it and to be honest it just wouldn’t work for a demo. As I see it, the appeal for this idea is the big story that ties everything together. Without that, a short demo will come across as bland and boring with no excitement.

Now obviously things in this idea are going to change, which I won’t like, but this is a group thing and everyone needs to be involved in it somehow.

Communication

The team decided to have a meeting every thursday at 2pm through discord to discuss what we have done, what we need to do, and any other feedback that would be given to us. Discord was a primary source of communication. Along with discord the team used Miro, to keep track of all the ideas, shedules, and plans throughout the project.
