This week we began animating. This was my first time animating and I struggled, but I find the end result was good. I drew the frames in Krita and made it into an animation in a Windows video editor. This was for us to understand the concepts of spacing and timing within animation, while also practicing those ideas. We read a passage from a novel about animating that told the basics of animation. I struggled with it at first, but afterwards, I began to understand it when I actually tried drawing it.
(1st attempt)
We also held a meeting in our design a world groups to determine the story board and characters of our animation. We have picked characters we would like to animate. I have picked China White, an elder lady with a rose on her cup. We are toying with the idea of setting the animation in a casino, as we think it would be easier to do the transitions from character to character.
