#IXD101-Week 8-Adding CSS

Once we had a go at looking at the HTML coding last week, this week our task was to add a CSS file to the HTML file to allow our Baskerville website to improve.

Although these stylesheets vary slightly between browsers, they have common characteristics including black text, blue text for links, and purple text for visited links. Adding a CSS file allows us to essentially decorate the webpage. it allows us to control the layout of the page as well as the colour and size of the text. I found creating this file very fun as I enjoyed picking the fonts and colour schemeUp until this point our well-structured web pages have been styled using the browser’s default stylesheet.

Adding this code allows us to transform our webpage to look like the below.

Although it still has further refining to do, I am very pleased with the improvements I can already see and am very excited to continue to add more such as images and tables.
