For this assignment, we were tasked with creating two separate animations. One showing weight through movement of the character, such as jumping. The Playblast for this Jump I completed is below:

The second animation was more focused on seeing emotions being conveyed by the character. For example, I made it seems like the character has stepped on something painful. showing pain/surprise, then falling over. Showing annoyance/clumsiness. The Playblast for this animation is below:

Overall I am quite happy with these animations. If there would be anything that I would like to change it would be about the second animation. In the second, emotion animation, I would change the head movements to appear more bouncy. As if to show that the character is made from stretchy or changeable material. This would emphasise the fall more.

 

Some research on possible positioning for each of these animations were done and a couple of images were used throughout as guidance when I started blocking out the positions for each movement. These are seen below:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The most worthwhile step to these animations were editing the timing of the key frames using the dope sheet. Screenshots of these final edits on the dope sheets are seen below:
