This week was online for one on one tutorials with the lecturers so there was no formal Homework set for this week.
However did want to come up with some concept for my group. Here it is 🙂
I had the idea that Amka meeting the whale spirit could be over a frozen lake andthe whale could be glowing and then burst through the ice. I really like how this turned out and especially the complementary colours of the cold blue/greens and warm red/oranges.
I also thought of a potential scene that could be used in our animation between the rabbit/bunny (Denial) and Amka. My idea behind it is that Amka finds the bunny cute but since the bunny is the spirit of Denial, she doesn’t want to accept Amka and runs away after hitting Amaka in the face, much like grief hits you in the face in real life too.
Here are some sketches/studies of artic hares that I thought we could use for possible final designs for Denial:
I thought the design should be kept quite simple by incorporating the dark tips of Artic hares and changing it to the teal colour from our colour pallette based of the Northern lights.
