I started investigating Barnbrooks work for David Bowies album “Black star”.  I found it really interesting how he used the same elements over and over again in order to create consistency in the identity.

I think this would work well if applied to an icon set in the rest of the identity or else it could maybe even work well if applied t0 letter forms to create an even more abstract typeface than the current wordmark:

WHAT I’VE LEARNED:

– To use the same shapes throughout the identity to retain consistency

– To outline shapes and fill in others to give variety

– To split the same shapes up in multiple different ways
