Below are the sides from our group presentation on our analysis of the animation “Afternoon Class”. We split the slides between us, I made the slides for Sound and Symbolism.

REFLECTION

I enjoyed learning how to analyse movies/animations. I always had an interest in breaking down books/movies and I had fun learning different ways to analyse, I look forward to future classes. I enjoyed working on the presentation, it brought me back to A level English, I do however wish the communication within our team was better. we didn’t really communicate on what we were working on and how we’d present the presentation. I initially didn’t make any slides, I wrote notes down, because I wasn’t aware of what slides everyone decided to do and didn’t want to accidentally do someone else’s work. My major flaw was that I was afraid I’ come of as pushy or busy if I continuously messaged the chat, asking what everyone was doing. I eventually set my worries aside and messaged the group chat but I should have messaged earlier. On the day of the presentation I feel I didn’t do as badly as I initially feared. I was siting memorising my lines to perfection, I had a strong start but midway I became aware I was presenting and my mind went blank and I fumbled over my words. it ended with me just reading off the board at the end. I had lost confidence in my speaking but I’m proud I started off well, I just need to work on my public speaking.
