Before starting the homework, I did a few drawing exercises. By quickly drawing these shapes a few times, it allows me to build muscle memory so that my line work will be more confident.

I also drew a few flour sacks in different poses so that I would get used to adding contour lines onto shapes.

For my first homework, I had to choose a few animated characters that I like and trace over them by breaking them down into more simple shapes and adding contour lines to allow me to view them as 3D characters instead of 2d drawings. I chose Tulip from ’Infinity Train ‘, Puppycat from ‘Bee and Puppycat and Wirt from ‘Over the Garden Wall‘.

By doing this, it allowed me to be able to redraw some of the characters more easily.
