RILEY CONCEPTS
using the moodboards I started to design the main character who’s been given the place holder name RILEY for now. I wanted her to be tomboyish and throughout my development of her and her personality she turned into a skater type girl, I had the idea for her to have a hat and quickly decided on this Ushanka type winter hat with star drawstrings.
I thought it added a lot of personality to her and that it was an interesting element to her design, I then added one knee pad to show that she’s maybe a bit clumsy and forgetful as she only has one on.
GIRLFRIEND CONCEPTS
For the girlfriend I wanted her to be a bit goth, or darker than Riley to add some contrast between them. She turned out into a bit of a Punk girl. I gave her a faux band logo on the back of her jacket to add a bit more colour to her, and her shirt logo is the same as Rileys to match them together.

FINAL DESIGNS
I created a Moodboard to help Jack with Alien designs, I was leaning towards a more Fish/sea monster approach to the aliens. Influenced by his current designs. I created one design based off the sheet ( seen below)
I then went through the book Henry suggested to us and picked out things I thought were the most interesting, i then made a general moodboard and an Enviroment Moodboard.
I did some enviro concepts to help the Enviro people, I used these moodboards and Harry’s moodboard/concept to help me in creating these. I focused more on the colours than anything, trying to incorporate the pink and blue as best I could
TALKING SPRITES
I created sprites in my free time that I decided to use as examples of what our sprites could be, I am planning on having them be animated ( eyes and mouth only) to add some interest to the talking sprites. I used these for a headshot example of talking sprites, I also reused my first moodboard including sprites and I think I will lean more towards the PESTERQUEST sprites ( Pictured Below). I would love to do the half body sprites but I will have to discuss that with my team.

MODEL IDEAS
I created a very quick practice model to practice my modelling in maya.This model is now being used as a practice model for rigging and animation.
As the models and art style are heavily inspired by ROKI, I managed to get the game models and deconstruct them. I did this to see how they were made so that it would be easier for me to model our girl later on.
