During our 2 week workshop in Fine Art, we were tasked to choose a word from the options; care, boundary, liminal or journey.
I decided that for my theme I would choose boundary, I wanted to explore human physical and metaphysical boundaries with regards to time and dimensions.
We were tasked with creating a drawing that was larger than ourselves, so I basically put all my thoughts about the task from my brain into this work (I also realised that I was doing it wrong half way through, however it was too late). Had I been given the chance to retry this task, I would have used my own photographic references.
I think that although I didn’t have the right response to the task, this piece does evoke some thought to the viewer, and was a good foundation for me to base my work on.
