For practice, we played around with an alien model that Mike had already provided as a way to learn how to add bones to our characters.

I then continued to create the Chimera, building up the arms, adding hands and eyes, and then attempted to use retopology.  Unfortunately, unlike the elephant’s head, this ended up being disastrous.  The polys did not comply as I had hoped.  I even experimented with a shortcut – in which you created large plan to cover a whole area, and then apply shrink-wrap, followed by using loop cut to make the polys smaller, and therefore covering a lot of ground.
