Before beginning to design my own monogram, I felt it was very important to research into other monogram designs to try and gain as much inspiration as possible to see what style I liked best. To do this I created a Pinterest moodpboard consisting of monograms and alphabet photography.

I found this exercise very beneficial as it helped me find out what typography styles I liked and what styles I didn’t feel worked. I will take this research on board when creating my own monogram and use my gathered inspiration to brainstorm as many of my own designs as possible before finally picking one and further refining it.
