Types of jobs:

Writer == Animation  writers create and develop the story of the animation. The scripts they create would be used by the storyboard artists and directors so they could choose the best visual style for the story.

Concept Artist == Creates the visual style for the animation, especially in the early stages of the production. Their work would be used as a reference point by the animators, background designers and character designers.

Character Designer == Comes up with the general aesthetic of each individual character. They are given descriptions from the director which they then work off of; these could be notes of their personality or their trajectory within the story.

Personally, I am more interested in jobs retaining to character design, or jobs that are closely linked with music. An animated music video director, for example. Animation requires patience and willingness to learn, adapt and overcome.

My research will mainly revolve around the character designer role, and the concept artist role.
