Although I started this assignment having never even opened 3D modelling software before, and have definitely made mistakes along the way, I can now create composite pieces using a variety of skills, and growing in confidence week by week, I’ve shown progression; my work becoming more detailed and complex as time went on. I did find some tasks challenging, but with practice, and using both the tutorials provided and online content to become more familiar with the features and processes used, I can now say that I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of 3D modelling in Blender.
Completing this assignment has also helped me to develop my problem-solving skills, and to be more adaptable; for example creating workarounds when things didn’t go to plan, and to critique my work and start from scratch when needed – although at times, this was very time consuming!
At the start of the semester I would never have dreamt that I could have produced this level of work, but by applying and challenging myself here I am a 3D modeller, and I hope to keep improving in the future. Watch out world – here I come!
