Linguistics PhD opportunities

Projects in this area will focus on children’s first language acquisition. Projects may employ experimental methodologies including both offline behavioural methods and online methods, as well as corpus methods.

We welcome applications to study any aspect of the morpho- syntax of any language from both a synchronic and diachronic perspective. Both theoretically informed projects within the framework of Generative Grammar and descriptive projects would be suitable. Projects on Multilingualism may address questions about the impact of internal and external factors in predicting language outcomes; further questions include issues of input quantity vs quality, and outcomes across languages and language domains.
