Week 2 Homework
Part1:
For the prescriptive homework I wanted to try and find a good mix of indoor and ourdoor environments with both 1 and 2 point perspective, as for the cartoons I referenced, I wanted to look at cartoons such as the Owl house, gravity falls and Steven Universe which all have very beautiful and unique looking environments and backgrounds
Part 2:
For my tumbnail sketches I really wanted to try and sell that old american noir gangster feel so I looked a lot at American steets specifically around Brooklyn and New-york trying to find images of them around the 1950’s to 1970’s to try and understand what they might have looked like at the time, not only that but since it’s a gangster flick I wanted to try and incorporate places that would be consider discreet such as alleyways, large forests, safe-rooms, and overall places gangsters would like to hang around to try and prevent themselves from getting caught up by the police
