USING PRE-EXISTING APPS TO GIVE ME INSPIRATION INTO HOW TO CREATE AN INTERACTIVE QUIZ SECTION:

APP: ANIMAL KINGDOM

PURPOSE

– To educate children on animal behaviour and geography

HOW DOES IT DO THIS?

– It quizzes them on various animal facts and allows an info panel at the same time if the child wants to know more.

WHAT ARE THE PROS?

– The layout of the app is effective and as a result I think i’ll do something similar

-there is a simple box at the top which allows for either an illustration or photo of the animal in question

WHAT ARE THE CONS?

-Questions are extremely similar throughout, mainly only asking what the name of the animal is

-The home screen is ugly, confusing, and cluttered due to too many different illustrations and achievements

-I will allow there to be a level system where certain achievements and rewards are given to players if they answer enough questions correctly

-I will use a very similar layout to the quiz as I felt this was simple but effective – however I will use simpler illustrations

-I’ll try not to overload the user with too many achievements as this is confusing and overwhelming
