Reflecting on designing a 3D charcter

i found this project easy enough, they only problems i encountered was near the end when time was running out and i couldn’t fix the textures of my model that was caused when i was fixing another problem were the model wouldn’t automatically weight paint to the armature so i had to use a lower poly model for weight paint and then transfer the data to the one I was looking to use. The final design turned out like what i was going for minus the problem with the UVsĀ  and the weight paint being on areas of the mesh that it wasn’t supposed to be on, if i were to do this again i would keep on top of my work better but this month has been busy with birthdays and Christmas and i feel like i have been procrastinating less during this project which was a problem i had in the past when doing work, but i was also in a rush to finish the finishing touches and unload everything on the last few hours which i did on the last 2 assignment hand ins. i feel like i now have a better understanding on the process of making a character in 3D and and not going overboard with too much detail, if i were to do this again i would spend more time in the earlier stages working on the project rather than leaving it to the last few days.
