Shapes and Forms

In the first assignment week, I have chosen at least 3 characters to study their shape and form.

The first example is from the Cartoon show, Robot Boy. The shapes are simplistic in nature, usually consist of exaggerated shapes of squares, rectangles and pointy edges. This usually revolves around human characters, creatures and buildings. Robot Boy however is round with cylinder like limbs.

Next-up is one of my favourite childhood shows called Samurai Jack. Jack is boxy by appearance, consisting of rectangles and elongated squares. His face in particular is sharp or well defined with a strong sloped-square.

Total-Drama Island shares similar design traits to Samurai Jack, however analysing Gwen. The overall shape is relaxed to match the feminine form, consisting of elongated and wide shapes.
