3D Digital Literacy – Week 3 – Zubat Model

In week 3, we are assigned to produce a Zubat (Pokemon) model and animate it.

Firstly I used an image from the internet as reference. Using the image as guidance, I then created the basic UV sphere for the main body. I would then extrude and edge loop to help form the shape.

Using the knife tool I used this technique to create the basis of the mouth. Although it requires further refinement to help remove unwanted triangles to get the preferable quad vertex. This process would be used on the wings as well.

Additionally, I used cones as fangs.

Once the model is complete with colour implemented. I then proceeded to simply animate the wings then the main body and used the camera to track the flying creature.
