WEEK 4 – ESSAY RESEARCH

Essay – Question

It is Week 4 in our Animation Discourse Class. We’ve been assigned to write a 2000 word essay OR a 1000 word report based on our own research. I’ve decided to explore the visuals in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and how they effectively convey its themes and reflect the narrative.

Visuals Include:

  • Storyboarding, framing
  • colour
  • light and dark
  • perspectives

As I’m writing an essay I’ve come up with a few potential questions to write about.

  • Do the visuals in Puss in Boots accurately convey its themes?
  • Does the storyboarding in PIB:TLW support the narrative
  • how the narrative is portrayed through its visuals
  • character arc
ESSAY STRUCTURE - introduction, themes content selections, conclusion, references, appendices.
