PROP MODELLING
This week I modelled some props that’ll fill in the room for our animation, I modelled a modern rocking chair with some pillows, a coffee table and a big plant pot (see second photo). I modelled small miscellaneous items like a coffee mug and coaster, small plant pots and a stack of paper (with a UV texture to make it more visually appealing) to fill in the room. I then gathered all of our models and lined them up in regards to who has modelled what.
ORDER OF MODELS FRONT TO BACK: Bailey, Anna (me), Abbi, Odhran and Tiernan
Below is an initial design plan I made based on Bailey’s chair design. Unfortunately my model looked stiff and flat and didn’t do Bailey’s design justice. I went wrong with modelling as I tried to model and extrude from one cylinder, I was able to make the basic shape but it looked too geometric.
Tiernan modelled the room based on my floor plan. When putting the models together the arrangement of the furniture may change.

INTRO TO RIGGING: LOCAL SACE AND OBJECT CONSTRAINTS
We were given an exercise to complete in class. We had to fix the constraints for the animation to work. I initially had difficulty with the constraints but managed to complete the exercise in class.
