I moved the placement of my ‘Anger’ painting on the wall and I like the fact that there was a mark left on the wall from my painting process. The wall looks scorched and burned with the fire reds and oranges
I made a wire frame to connect the sheets of cellophane. I wrapped and stapled the cellophane to the wire top and I plan to make this a series of different coloured hanging objects.
This painting loosely represents an eye. My idea behind this piece was to create an idea of someone’s emotions bursting out of them and consuming them after seeing something. The painting began as an explosion of envy but along the way I loosened the narrowing it down to one set emotion and more of a wave of emotions.
I first poured patches of water on the page then added the colours to the puddles and swirled the page to disperse the colour. After left to fry I further went in with the previous colours to darcken certain areas and flick paint to represent bursts of excitement.
My prints are of a garden, I was hoping to achieve a dream-like appearance to the flowers so to achieve this I ran the press over the image up and down a few times to get a blurring effect. When preparing for the workshop, I discovered artist jade fadojutimi. I liked her printing style as it was painterly- I’ve included a few pieces of hers that I was looking at.
