I tried to plan what I wanted the large fabric sheet to look like as the fact that it was fabric was daunting to me. These are a few colour palettes and appearances I was considering trying to achieve. I did a quick sketch of a heart with a set colour palette to see how they blend together and appear side by side. I also put my red colour filter over the drawing to see what result it would have. The drawing, to me seems bright, fun and eccentric but with the red it looks hurt angry and in pain.

Artist research for my performance piece on fabric where I blindfold myself and listen to music

I’ve added screen recordings of these artists processes. Klein’s work where he used humans as paintbrushes feels relevant to the process I am using. Also, Melissa McCracken who is a synesthetic artist; she listens to music and paints what she heard and how the music makes her feel.
