Shape Key & Graphs [Easter Break]

TESTING OTHER PEOPLE’S MODEL

I had most of the animating finished last week so this week I only had to focus mainly the the graphs which, didn’t take long, there wasn’t much I could change in the graph for many of the characters. To speak more about the character animation from last weak, there was a few problems with the models such the origin in wrong places and parenting for the cupcake but it was an easy enough fix. The rolling pin didn’t have any controls in the pose mode to control the face but it was still manageable for me without them, it had many expressions so it was quite fun to play around. Croissant’s rig was missing a master rig? no clue and then lastly the donut, painful. No shape keys for the eyes, eyebrows or the ‘mouth’, the bones weren’t empties but left as bones and the rotations for them weren’t at 0, why does it also have 3 different hip like areas to turn and 3 bones for the eyebrows?

DONUT

I know I shouldn’t be crying in my blogs but the donut generally had so much potential with it’s shape and our main character , I believed I gave my group enough time in our schedule to rig the characters, we were quite ahead of most of the group so if anyone had any problems they could’ve let me know or Jessica to take out a week and focus on the rig, half of my group already started animating and I’m completely done so I don’t want to go back to something that was suppose to be done correctly a few weeks ago. Luckily for me I didn’t have to animate much of it. ☻

SHAPEKEYS

Anyway here is what the animation looks like with the shape keys and I might slap in another scene in just to give my character some more time on screen.

GRAPHS

As complicated the graphs look, it was really simple to adjust and move but sadly as mentioned there wasn’t much for me to play around in this. With most of my side completed I can now work on other things and hopefully when we get back to class we can combine the scenes together and have a look at them to see if they flow into each other nicely.

MISSING GROUP CALL 2.0

This call was planned on to just see if everyone had some thing roughly started or laid out, give feedback to others who had started. I missed the group call again but I don’t think I was really needed there if Jessica our vice leader(?) was there to give direction and also that we spoke the day before the call so she knows what needed to be done.
