Escape : Texture & Schedule [WEEK 4]

We managed a call the following day to try and focus more on the schedule and the texturing of our models around 12:00. Everyone was present in the call again which I’m quite happy with, I’ve been in charge of setting up times and dates when we need to stay in contact and making sure everyone wasn’t too far behind. My group in return did the work which was set for the week that I appreciate a lot.

CURRENT PREVIS

We were able to get the previs completed today, I was planning to put them together but Jessica did that for us ☻

TEXTURING

I probably mentioned many times about texturing before, just due to planning and schedules I never got the chance until this weak. Jessica provided us with multiple videos to watch and try out along with some other videos to help with the previs early on, we are trying out texture painting in blender to see how it goes:

I had tried using this but it’s a struggle so I decided to go back to the familiar substance painter, of course following the path, I did the UV map and then exported it as a FBX file. Since it was practise on texturing I didn’t clean up a lot of the UV map but hopefully overall the outcome will look good.

Then Chloe who was doing something similar from another group sent me a few links with tutorials on painting in substance painter just to help me out ☻ :

And then here’s me just taking my time and having fun:

While making this, I was speaking with my friends Jessica and Chloe in a voice call which they said if I added anymore from this it’ll get muddy. In response, SO TRUE so I stopped and brought it back into Blender to apply it to the model and here is the results:

The end result is okay, I think I should try spending more time on the strawberry with some references, I could use this as my final but there’s just some clear problems with this so remaking it would be easier than trying to adjust everything.

SCHEDULE

I quickly typed out the dates in awkward silence. When that was completed I worked backwards trying to use the pipeline as reference and this is what we’ve came up with to follow. It might change depending on what may happen and how the other module will work around this schedule.
