Escape : Previs & Props WEEK 4]

CHARACTERS

Since everyone has their practise blender model completed, I went on ahead and gathered them into one file and gave it a quick render on how it looks, as looking at them side by side we can tell there’s a slight difference in style which we spoke about, maybe having someone do the eyes and eyebrows so we could have roughly the same style for them, Ingrid had also changed the eye colour due to this just to test it out.

Also Zoe on the other hand had also create an expression sheet to use as reference for the final animation.

FILE SHARING

Jessica created a quick one drive file for us to use and share files, it was pretty neat so everything was easy to navigate. We plan on just putting in most of our final models and textures in so it doesn’t get too over crowded making it harder to navigate or find more important files.

PREVIS

While we originally decided on doing this all together we found out it was much easier just doing it by our self since we had the storyboard to reference from, we stayed in call for the first part so we could see roughly what we had to do and how to pass this file around which I kind of rambled on the details while Eve took down the notes. Before I ended up showing up 10 minutes late to this group call just because I decided to go back to sleep when it was 10:50 and we planned on 11:00 to call/

So far this is what the first part looks like from Zoe’s section:

and I just grabbed the files from her to then do my part:

My was roughly 8 seconds long and it took me around 40 minutes to do. It wasn’t that hard but I do feel like timing is a bit off or rushed so we might go over it when the preview is completed and edit it. And this was my result of the preview:

Generally going well but it’s a super slow process, we’ll probably hop into another call and discuss about this and fix some parts up and start working on the texturing part more.

SOOOO. I decided to remake it as watching it over and over again it looked incorrect. I personally wasn’t happy so here it is again but I fixed up some camera and timing.

PROP

I have no idea how to create a till, I think I must’ve forgotten to bring this up in our group discussion but here’s just a bunch of screen shot of the process of what I did

When I went back to look for the file it was gone, maybe since I did it late at night I was upset with the result and decided to deletus it but again I didn’t take notes so I don’t have a clue. So here’s something I found and decided to use it as heavy reference, decided to share it with the group to only this as motivation.

Anyway here’s the process of creating this.

Might have to look around to see if this looks like a modern touch screen till. if it doesn’t then I’ll probably need to remake it. I also want to try making some other things for the background so that we don’t have too many repetitive things and that Ingrid isn’t doing every single prop in the background. Most likely will try to look into that for next week while this week I want to remake my final character in 3D and possibly redraw it in 2D.
