Bruh I should’ve watched Lord Of The Rings before this module, I didn’t know I’d be dropped into a group analysing Lord of the Rings RAT & MICE version. Really got me punching a dry wall and shedding a tear. Any who, here’s the clip that was provided :
My group consist of Eoin, Al, Amy and Myself. So far I’ve been able to contact Al and Eoin while Amy on the other hand appears to be a myth, sadly I have never met her so I can’t really ask around to see if anyone had any updates on where she is or how she is. On this Friday night, somehow we managed to get into a nearly 2 hour call just to set up the power point and have a discord server as well so we can stay organise as we go.

We of course went over the clip together in this call a few times since in class it was only Al and myself, we mainly watched it the first time while the other time we actually analysed parts and took some simple notes, the other two started talking about the lord of the rings reference in different small sections which makes sense but as someone who never watched it, I felt like I was just third wheeling, still overall doing this was enjoyable. Since this call was out of the blue we didn’t really plan on going on for hours and analysing it all in one night so we thought why not spice up our boring Power Point for a start.

We just went with a basic black and white default layout, this was familiar and if we wanted we could add in boarders. I was thinking about using an already made power point design but that’d just be cheap and I wasn’t really feeling it right now maybe in the following week. This week we want to mainly try and pay more attention to the notes, I’ve never planned something like this before but I just thought yeah, let’s take notes of short and share it. maybe one of us missed out a part that we can add on.

ANALYSING
I believe I’ll probably be one of the weaker analyser in this group since I’ve never analysed film before. The other two have so hopefully they can help me through this which they have ☻Eoin had provided us with this to help with analysing.

While for myself, I don’t know how to use it so I just went ahead breaking each part of the film into smaller piece to then take notes of the obvious and add on some reasoning as to why it may be used.

This was the completed PDF file of my own personal analyse with some link that I’ve looked into for reference, most of which are just pointing out what has been used and then giving a reason why.
