DESIGNING

Along with the new design, I had to recreate a prop list but I decided take some from the previous ideas and then selecting 2 to design. My current list of items are : Fruit basket full of old Chinese currency (Qian), Satchel, an umbrella, a suitcase spilling Qian out of the sides . Below are some traditional sketches of these objects before selecting 2 and pushing the idea further.

To start off, we go and lean on a mood board:

From just these small doodles, I already like the suitcase and umbrella. I might do both of these depending on how much time I got but here are just some other designs for them:

With my designs laid out, I just need to make the props and then add in the design through 3D Substance Painter ☻ I’ll probably plan selecting the final design after applying the colours to my character to match the colours or design.
