Animating a ball was easy enough as we are just transforming the ball around the canvas and giving it some squish and pull, to start getting more advance in animation. We explored animating the flour sack jumping, I animated a quick rough animation by firstly plotting down the main points. I then started in some in between frames and adjusting it to give it some more personality and slight exaggeration in squish and pulling, I want to add in some more in between before trying to stretch it out and exaggerate some frames to push it further.
STORYBOARDING
We were then to task to use an empty storyboard that has text describing the scene in which we had draw in. I don’t really like storyboards as I’m drawing through a wacom intuos, I can’t really create quick smooth lines but it’s still manageable through changing up the pen settings. Below is my finish product, I used 3 layers to create this but I think in the future I might just use one by blocking in the tones then adding highlights while I’ll outline it in the end to make it more efficient.
While looking for some more ideas on how to improve my storyboarding, this video here has story boards beside the scene in movies also breaking different elements of storyboarding up.
