Follow up form last week, Chloe who was most active for this group slid in and shared mood boards that we could use for designs, it also helped me in not leaning too far away from the groups idea. ,I’m quite thankful that there was someone in the group who was providing new members information. I found the mood board useful as everything was in one place, I went ahead and combined previous member’s designs onto one page to create a mini board or so.
In class, we were tasked to go over/review the world building. I had brought up that each of us should’ve picked one idea from everyone else’s design that they liked, for some reason, some of the people in the group didn’t pay attention so the plan didn’t go through, I then started asking around for what the final designs should consist of so I could take some simple bullet point notes. I only received feedback from around 4 people which did make me butt hurt that not everyone is providing the same amount of effort for the group, comparing this to my past two groups, I can say that trying to get things done in this group needs a lot of pressuring.
With this, I created a base for the body since I had some decent understanding of human anatomy out of the group. Mainly Eoin, Kori and I drew over the base to create a rough final design while Chloe was typing up the plot. When we completed the designs, our different art style was kinda clashing together for me therefore I asked if someone wanted to redraw it in one style and clean it up but again no one has agreed to do this.
The demon design leans away from the original idea from suits/formal wear that was included in the concept description, I’ll probably sketch up some other alternate clothes to fit the original idea.
As for the plot, we went through the plot in a few minutes as not many people had any other idea for the plot before it was being finalised and typed up. Being late in the group I didn’t had much either as some of the plot idea wasn’t talked about in front of class. Reading over the plot it’s cliché but I guess cliché plots do catch people’s attention.
I’m not sure if the majority people in the group are new or were already in the group, I just find it awkward. I can only say Chloë who is here at the start of the group is the most helpful with giving feedbacks and providing her work as a starting place.
